V45-Victorian Reflections Stained Glass

Victorian stained glass became an integral part of the design of the family home. These geometric designs are based on basic geometric shapes of circles, squares and triangles – often surrounded by a single or double boarder. The outer boarder being clear and the inner boarder usually ruby red, or occasionally blue.

Other colours commonly used within the designs were 4 pale shades of blue, yellow, pink and green. The strong geometric shapes were softened by hand painted segments, usually birds, flowers, or other elements of nature.
